SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 18, 2008, for the Bronco Bench Foundation's Second Annual All-Sports BBQ & Student-Athlete Day at Schott Stadium. The pre-game BBQ begins at 11 a.m. and will take place behind the batting cages behind Schott Stadium's left field wall. Attendees can look forward to meeting Santa Clara's student-athletes and coaches. Plus, a student-athlete autograph session will take place for all Bronco fans in attendance.

Immediately following the BBQ, the Bronco Bench Foundation and Santa Clara's Athletic Department will recognize the athletic achievements of our student-athletes from all 19 varsity athletic programs over the course of the past year. The all-sports recognition ceremony will take place inside Schott Stadium just prior to the Broncos taking on Pepperdine in the final WCC baseball series of the season at 1 p.m.

As this year's event falls on the 23rd anniversary of the passing of Pat Malley `53, the celebration of our student-athletes and athletic teams will serve as a tribute to a man who dedicated his life to Santa Clara athletics and who will always be remembered as the embodiment of style and class. Please join us as we celebrate his life and his legacy which will forever be carried-on through the achievements of Santa Clara's student-athletes.
